"We were determined to create something entirely new that carries the spirit of the Jensen Interceptor forward in a modern, authentic manner and, perhaps in the case of our first car, the track-focused GTX, in a way people would not expect. Obviously, the 1966 Jensen Interceptor is a significant inspiration for us. And not just visually, but in terms of what that car represents. From the outset though, our intention was never to build a continuation car or revisit something that already existed."

A heritage-inspired future

Since 2007, world-renowned marque specialist Jensen International has brought the classic Interceptor up to modern standards with the Interceptor R, a car conceived before the term ‘restomod’ was ever coined. That experience leaves the company uniquely placed to create the long-planned entirely new Jensen Interceptor.

The First Expression

The Interceptor GTX

Jensen International brought together the talents and experience of its own team with the expertise of specialist partners including Avant Design, Coventry Metalcraft. Together, they created the first iteration of the new Interceptor: the GTX, an ultra-limited-edition, ultra-high-performance track car that previews upcoming roadgoing models.

The Interceptor GTR & GT

Following further development of the track-focused GTX model, Jensen International’s vision will then focus on a road-going Interceptor GTR with the same high-performance character. A more luxury-oriented Grand Touring model will follow, with each car designed, engineered and handbuilt in the UK, utilising the brand’s network of specialist partners.
